Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
That clouding over in the water column is also probably a result of a cycle that keeps getting interrupted. The clouding is most likely a bacterial bloom as a result of the nitrogen cycle.
I'd definitely pull the livestock, do a few good sized water changes, and then just wait it out. When...
Anyone got one laying around they don't want anymore? I really just need the hood... Dang lights blew up this morning. I bought it used a couple years ago, so who knows that the ding dong I bought it from did to it. When I opened it up, it has definitely been screwed with.
Anyone?
How long ago did you buy it? Trust me when I tell you that the "return policy" is a "suggestion". Go directly to the store manager. Yes, it will suck because you will have to somehow drain the tank, but honestly, even if Aqeon did something about it, you'd still have to do that anyway...
Looks great Len! After having so many big tanks over the years, I wasn't sure I'd be happy with the smaller tank, but I do like my 30 gallon! It keeps my "hoarding" tendencies down too by compressing the space I have available! LOL!
Great job, tho, looks fantastic!
There is also a new version of the software available for download, version 1.26 addresses issues with new slides being registered. I'm not sure that it addresses anything else, but with programmers, you never know.
It is available here: http://www.seneye.com/download
Wow, sorry to hear that Jason!
I have been trying to keep up on all the forum posts etc on facebook with Seneye, and I just don't see the accuracy issues occurring across the spectrum like we have had here.
Do you think it may be possible that you have either a defective unit or bad slides? I...
Awesome. That's the way to do it!! LOL! Keep me posted on how you like them over time, and if you see any difference in growth and color change. I'm VERY curious about their performance over time!
Anyone have a used working refractometer they want to let go cheap? Mine just crapped out on me (think the seal around the lense degraded and water got onto the prism inside).
I can paypal + shipping if the price is good, or, can trade you equivalent in some frags?
Let me know via PM before I...
Wow! That's fantastic! I'm having the same problem with my 30 gallon. Came out of nowhere after almost a year of running fine. Same issue with algae eating fish just mysteriously dying. Lost a tang, an angel and a lawnmower blenny.
Considering running Blue Life Clear FX Pro. Again, same...
ATTENTION ANYONE WHO HAS A SENEYE!
New software version 1.24 is available for download!
It now has a corrected PH line for MARINE/SALTWATER.
You have to click the padlock at the bottom of the seneye software panel, and tick the box for marine.
Apparently, the issues we have all been having...
One more thing, I didn't notice whether you said you had a sump with macro in it or not?
If you do, run your sump lighting directly opposite your tank lighting. That will help stabilize the PH swing that occurs over night.
Kevin, looks like the system is slowly starting to auto correct itself.
Have you tested a new salt water batch for salinity and PH?
Are you getting any ammonia, nitrite or elevated nitrates during your regular tank testing?
If you are seeing no ammonia or nitrite during regular water testing...
With all of those factors adding up, it sounds to me like you are cycling. New sand, new water, and nitrifying bacteria all combined with a move.
Before you add anything, I would give it a bit to settle down. Definitely check your PH test against a small batch of new water, or someone elses...
