Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The clips are great. Only thing that sucks is if you need a pair of clips, like say for a heater, you need to buy two packs. I didn't pay attention to that little fact the first time I bought them.. grr.. But, the little buggers will hold anything up! I lost the outside magnet for one of my...
In my experience, shrimp tend to be more sensitive to acclimation.
I'd use the drip method.

LOL! Ahh. I see.
Ok, I was thinking maybe there was some personal bad experience or something there.
I was just curious. I've never purchased anything from them, but I have used their site (in conjunction with others of course) and gotten some interesting ideas from there.
Thanks for...
I've found them to be hit or miss. I have two that stay relatively accurate, but you have to change the batteries quite frequently (like every 3 months or so, they begin to get less and less accurate as the batteries begin to drain). Makes it kinda costly in the long run as far as thermometers...
I would certainly recomend testing newly mixed water and concentrating on water changes first.
It's so much simpler if you can manage the process with water changes than beginning to get mixed up in dosing this to raise this, which lowers that and requires dosing something else to raise that...
The bottom is tempered, but if the back isn't, you could go with a "coast to coast" overflow and drill the back.
As for the return, I'm using a mag 9 on my 75, and the return is fine with that.
I have two of those fixtures. The only complaints I have had so far are that the bulbs tend to go after about 6 months or so, and they have 3 switches but only 1 power cord, so there is no way to maintain the "dusk to dawn" kinda lighting, unless you are there to manually flip the switches.
I...
How big is he? Because the turning over of rocks etc (also called the rockmover wrasse) is because he is looking for food.
here's an article I wish I had read BEFORE I bought him. That was a while ago, and I learned my lesson with him. :)...
I wouldn't put anything past the dragon wrasse either. I had one once. And I caught him more than once with a hermit by the leg shaking it like a dog with a rope toy. Watch him with his "redecorating" too. He used to grab all my frag plugs off the rack and throw them all in one corner in the...
Just curious, is it possible that you had one of the bad batches? I had a low alk/ low calcium problem once that I couldn't correct no matter how many water changes I did. Once the salt was gone, I bought a new bucket, and the problem miraculously corrected itself. I never even knew there WAS a...
I'm running a 75 with 2 koralia 3's and the return from the sump is a mag 9. The flow works well, and everything in there seems to be happy with it so far. The koralias are nice pumps, especially for the price. And if you look at the newer 12volt models, you can get a controller for them as...
Ouch. Sorry for your loss. I replace heaters every year or so, regardless, because I had a similar incident a few years ago and cooked a beautiful pair of cobalt discus...
