    Eco5ech vs AI Lights

Have had AIs, Radions, Kessils, Red Sea LEDs. AI and Ecotech are the same company. Like Amado said, all these LEDs as well as cheap black box ones can grow corals. What you’re paying more for is often the app interface as well as compatibility with other products within their ecosystem (I.e...

    Warehouse sale

How much did you buy blotchies for? ReefPro was doing 3 for $399 a couple weeks ago which was the best I’d seen.

    Should I Frag it? Hammer

Just be careful with a hacksaw that it doesn't cause the whole coral to fracture. Then you might lose even more heads. Possibly safer to use a Dremel.

    Need emergency brook help!

Check out the Humblefish website. It has everything you could ever want to know about fish diseases, treatment, quarantine procedures, etc. And it's a good idea to have a few meds sitting around for an emergency including General Cure and maybe some Ruby Reef Rally for a quick dip that can give...

    Lighting advice please

ReefBrites are great for color but I never felt like they added that much PAR. But if you're mostly doing softies on the side, then you'll probably be fine.

    Ich pt 2

If the fish are fine, why throw in the towel? If you're losing fish and can't keep anything alive, then I can see maybe why... Ich doesn't normally kill otherwise healthy fish unless they're highly stressed (i.e. overcrowded, bad water conditions). You can practice ich management by feeding the...

Hawaii harvesting of tropical fish for aquariums approved

Seeing a lot of posts recently about relatively cheap yellow tangs. But are those wild caught or the Biota ones? The Biota ones have always been between $100-200 though spiked a little when the Hawaii first went into effect. Yes, it’s great that there’s captive bred option for these fish. But...

    Crazy torch

If you're gonna frag it, just make sure the heads are fully separated and you can get a Dremel in there. As long as you have enough separation, it shouldn't be too hard. Don't wanna use bonecutters cuz they have a habit of shattering the whole skeleton which will kill the head.

    Apex Neptune Trident bundle kit

You need either an Apex or an Apex EL to run the Trident. Both of those run off the Energy Bar. The Energy Bar isn't a replacement for them though. The deal you listed is decent and fair. Apex EL with EB832 (energy bar) is on sale at BRS right now for $476 with regular price $560. They used to...

GOOD LEDS FOR MY 65 GAL TANK

I agree with going to the Hydra 32s. Adding another Prime could give you more spread, but for a 24" deep tank, you'll probably want something a bit stronger to light all the way to the bottom. Of course, depends on what corals you're looking to grow. Check out this thread...

    Melanurus Wrasse

Echo everything that's been said. They're very popular as they look great, are relatively cheap, and are easy to keep. Not generally aggressive except possibly to fish with the same body shape. Do a good job with pests.
