Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The GFCI (no matter if receptacle or breaker) only pops with imbalance of hot and neutral, it does not monitor the ground. The whole idea of putting the probe in is to give a reliable path to ground. They provide those fake plugs (and sometimes a pigtail) for a little more ease of install, but...

Tenecor Aquariums. The World's Finest. Since 1980.
Also, they use aquafoam. Has anyone here actually used that in their sump?
I had them fabricate some pieces a while back for my sump, they were nice enough to round the edges for me as well. I know that I modeled the pieces in Autocad but I think they had me convert it to something else to send to them.
I typically use IPS weld-on #3 and/or #16. I usually stick with just 16 or mix it with the 3 if I need it to be less viscous. 3 sets quick as hell so you have be fast. I personally get tubes if I can find them as opposed to the cans and syringe.
You cannot get more efficiency out of a heater, resistive heating elements are just that it is a toaster in a tube. It would probably be more advisable to clean the heater as buildup on it can insulate the heater from working effectively which in turn is going to keep the heater on longer than...
Just my experience but I have only had glass heaters with the built in controls fail on me before. I currently have 3 finnex titanium heaters (only 1 with built in controller), the one in my DT is at least 10 years old. The one that has the built in controller is the only one that has failed but...
Aptasia zapper I believe you are talking about or electrolysis. I don't think you can get the zapper anymore but you can make your own.
I do use a filefish sparingly but depending it may munch on the zoas as well.
I use an old Eco-Lights fixture with 150w of LED and everything grows a tad faster than I would like. I never run 100% intensity which I guess PSE&G hates and my monthly electric bill thanks me for. Like Mark said lights are lights and you can get growth out of just about any light source. It...
If you can get a velocity in the pipe it is easier to figure out but assume you have a velocity of 4ft/s (this might be a bit a bit on the optimistic side it is probably lower) since we are talking gravity. A 3/4" schedule 40 PVC flows ~5.5 gpm.
Yeah I have been MIA for a bit due to work. Tank suffered a tad as well as I never cleaned the windows. I have been scraping coraline for like a month now and it is still not clean.
Been good though, you?
This worm looks way bigger than 3 inches for some reason. It actually looks big enough to eat my dog.

Calibration solution is definitely a must. I just make my own instead of ordering it. As long as you have a scale, salt and water your good to go. You could use RO/DI to calibrate as long as you know your starting point but still not recommended if you want to be accurate.
The magic number for...
