IMO there is no best in the industry. Everyone's water going in is different . Here is my thought on this. My water coming in has low tds under 100.
What I need to remove is some nitrates 10 ish , the main problem is my phosphates is very high. Under 100 so I need to use more and a better grade...

There are a few ways of doing this , there is the natureef method which takes a little time and effort to keep running or a sulfur reactor. There are articles of both on the sight.

I purchased my replacement leds from reef breeders .
They only go in one way or wont turn on also they have a wire in there leds so if it burns out the whole string doesn't blank out
Also get some good solder paste to glue o the board with / hope this helps
The algae is consuming the nitrates and phosphates. Darren can explain how it works. It is a simple system to operate .It take's some time to kick in . Like anything else it doesn't happen overnight.But will be money well spent.
