    Acro Eating Flat Worms (AEFW)

Supposedly TLF revive works on AEFW and red bugs, I've been doing a lot of reading on it and from what I'm hearing at 1.5X the recommended dose for 15min and a good shaking it works on both AEFW and red bugs. I think it just stuns the red bugs (no sure)I would like to test this theory, I have...

Aaron, so sorry to hear :( if you need anything let me know, I'm here for you bro.... 2 things come to mind, like Rich said did you use anything to clean the filter pad like bleach? Also did the pods have a smell to them before you put them in the tank? I have heard a few people have problems...

sump dimensions, please help i cant figure this out!

The only U tube design I trust and will use is the one from lifereef, the only down side is they are more expensive but well worth the extra money. When I had my 46 gal bow I was only able to fit a 10 gallon tank as a sump/refugium. I used the lifereef overflow with a mag 5 with a scwd wavemaker...

    When things go wrong.....please help

No problem.... like I said the perfecto's can safely handle between 700-800gph providing you use 1.25 on the drain and not reduce it to 1" like some people do. I always recommend using a 1.25 hose barb and flex for the drain, but some people like gluing the pvc into the bulkhead which reduces it...

    low salinity from live aquaria?

That's one of the reasons why Liveaquaria highly recommends you drip acclimate. Trop does the same thing, last time I got a fish there and tested the water it was 1.019

    When things go wrong.....please help

Just so you guy's know, Perfecto tanks have 1" returns and 1.25" drains, they can handle between 700-800GPH ea. at least that's what I'm pushing through mine (approx 750gph). I'm running a Gen X pcx40 with 12' head and the drain handles the flow just fine.

    Need help identifying this coral

Is it looking better since you got the cal up? Now that you got it over 350 you should start to notice improvement over the next few day's as long as you keep the levels up.

    Need help identifying this coral

What was the levels? Mag should be around 1350 and bring your cal up around 420 It's hard to say what the black things where with out a good pic.

    Need help identifying this coral

You really need to check your Mag! instant ocean salt has very low levels of cal and mag. I told you your problem with the coral is your levels, dipping it will only further stress it and could possably kill it. Also if your mag is low you will have trouble maintaining your cal.

Definitely get the rest of your rock first, also get the basic test kits like ammo, nitrite and nitrate and test the water before adding any fish. If you want to speed up the cycle get a couple bags of bio spira saltwater add it to your tank wait 24 hours test you levels if everything reads 0...

    Cycling tank with Mollies

I usually tell people to go 12-24hrs but the best way is over the course of 2 weeks slowly going to brackish then to full salt. Same goes for mono's unless you allready buy them brackish.

    Cycling tank with Mollies

mollies need to be acclimated slowly to saltwater.... as far as poo it's a good thing if you have corals..... poo = coral food

    The economy

sooo true! Our taxes have gone from $3800 in 2002 to $5700 in 2008 and that's before the reassessment which is due to kick in sometime early next year. >:(
