Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Knowing what's wrong is usually half the battle. At least now you can fix the issue and start getting better.
Did the new doctor (the smart one) tell you what you need to do to recover? Will this require surgery?
Anyway, hope you feel better soon Tony. As for the boredom, stare at your tank...
If your tank was really established (lots of pods) I'd suggest a mandarin. They do much better when there's lots of rockwork to hunt through though so maybe not.
Flasher wrasse is a pretty cool choice too, as well as pairing the clown (I'd say Picasso or snowflake personally.)
Oh, yea, I'm sure too. (NOT!) Paul, I'm waiting for your book to come out: "How to build a better mouse trap". :glee:
PS, I've seen your rock/bottle work in your old thread but I don't remember seeing the 4-footed support thing. Is that just a bent rebar covered in concrete or something?
As...
Also Craig, I'm "preferred" so next time you want something there, let me know. You live close enough that we could just use my account and get the stuff shipped to my house. I'm sure between the two of us we could meet the free shipping quota. If not, I'm sure we could talk downbeach or...
That does have everything you need for a complete drain and return line, including a few extras like the screen to keep critters out and the loc-line for the return line. I think $50 is a bit expensive though.
Here's a nice article on a DIY durso, complete with picture describing the parts... might make it a bit easier for you to make Kevin.

I had thought this might be the case once I got "preferred pricing" as well. I know I did the "add to shopping cart" test and I found that the only times the GB was cheaper was in one scenario...
Basically, if you don't see tiered pricing for more than one unit, there's no discount to...
It looks like a few other sales for that unit (from that seller) had damaged parts and the few that I looked at showed the seller sending replacement parts.
I'd give it a day or two for them to respond and if not go from there. I don't think they want negative comments though and will likely...
Congrats Jason. That was a nice raffle to win!
Good luck with the build and I'll be following along. I'd have suggested vinegar for the cleaning too, but that was already covered. ;)
This is what I was going to suggest too. Another option would be to use a larger sized WYE (or SAN TEE) and larger sized gate valve (maybe increase them to 2.5"). That would not restrict the combined 1" drains as much.
Sorry for the delayed reply Steamman. I had to run out of the office yesterday afternoon.
Here are a few HVAC contractors that might be able to handle the design/build portion of your project. I have no experience with them personally, I just found them on Bluebook... but we find a lot of...
Gotcha Mark. Also, you might want to keep an eye on your nitrate levels as the HA dies off. Right now, that's probably what's keeping it in check and when you remove the HA, there's less to consume the nitrates.
I guess bigger water changes will help with both dilluting the peroxide and...
I've heard of this problem before. Don't think anyone ever figured out what it was that caused it. Some reported pests, others found none.
I remember one person saying they dipped them in a mixture of 75% tank water and 25% peroxide and that cured them. Other people said they had no luck...
