How long have you had him for? Just keep tryin a variety of foods. Hang a piece of romaine in there, he might get interested in it. All my tangs loved it! And it Can stay in there forever and doesn't pollute your tank
Can't beat the look of sand. I tried bare bottom with my new set up but not long after I added sand. Brightened up the whole tank and looks much more natural. I keep about 2 inches with plenty of critters to stir it up. Sand stars, conch's, snails, goby's. Always looks clean
Yup you have to mess with the alignment. If it's hard to see if it's aligned like on my tank then put it on high, hold both sides and move the inside one up down, and left right. You'll find the sweet spot with the least noise. But your still gonna have noise when it's on high that's normal
Best way is just add some polyps or somethin cheap and see what happens. If they look ok after a week or 2 try somethin else. Just remember the turtle wins the race ;D

I'll agree 30" deep tanks do suck to do anything in. But I have to say they look sweet when your all set up. The belle mead co op Has all the stock tanks you want for a sump. From 90 up to 300 gallons. Man your electric is gonna kill you! Mine hurts. I have 4- 250 mh, 2-6' vho, And return in the...
Just scrub it good with a wire brush and keep rinsing it off between scrubs. Just to clean it up you said it was outside for a year already so everything on it is far dead.
This is if it's all glued . If you can see about an inch of pipe that the ball valve is on just saw the ball of right on the edge of it. Leave the piece of pipe to glue your gate to. If the ball valve is tight up against somethin and you can't see the smaller pipe going in to it then that sucks...
