Updates: She/he's eaten 3 days in a row now. She/he even chased some of the rods food today and "tasted" it, but spit it out. She may have eaten some of it, but it looked like she was spitting it out. Put the worms in, and she ate like a pig. About a week of eaing, and I'll be comfortable moving...
Ugg.. That's not good news at all. It's odd. It had been fine for probably about 3 years, and then POOF! No workey.
So ya'll don't think its worth spending the money on the probe then, huh?
Maybe I'll just look for a new meter.
Any recomendations?
I've got a pinpoint PH meter that suddenly started reading PH of like 6. I figured the battery was starting to go, as that's what happened the last time the battery went. So I replaced the battery, and it didn't fix the problem.
Tried calibrating the thing multiple times, now it's reading...
If you have the space and don't mind seeing the equipment, you could hang the skimmer on one of the sides as well. Doesn't necessarily have to be on the back of the tank.
I wouldn't say I'm a more qualified reefer! LOL! But thanks. He is a beautiful fish.
It got hairy for a couple weeks. The aptasia were nearly gone, and I wasn't sure what was going to happen.
I think he was just finally hungry enough that when the black worm dropped in front of him he decided...
FINALLY got my Copperband butterfly to eat! Took him about 2 months to clear the tank of aptasia, then I started to worry. He hadn't gone after anything I put in the tank. But, finally, today, he took blackworms!
My pleasure Rich. I hope I can save at least some of it.
Now if I could just keep my clown from moving everything I put in the tank... Grr... She's such a B***H....
Nope! I used several lenses with my DSLR that came originally from an SLR rig. Nikon's website should have a compatibility chart available for whatever body you are looking to buy. But as far as I know, the lenses should be fine.
Hey Paul, what I was getting at was if you kept the lenses rather than trading it in, you could probably pick up a nice Nikon D series Digital SLR body for your price range, and combined with the lenses you already have would have yourself a great DSLR starter rig. Would provide you with so many...
Forgot to mention the stars. Have a ton of tiny mini brittles, 2 GINORMOUS brittles, and one small to medium sized serpent star.
Wow, that many turbos? Was always hesitant to overpopulate with them. Hated the idea of them starving to death, but I guess with this much algae, won't be a problem...
Currently the tank is running on LED tubes. All are less than 3 months old. But the algae problem has not changed from moving from Metal Halides to the LED tubes, it has remained a constant issue throughout the light change.
I have a moderate snail population. Probably could use more.
What...
Can anyone recomend a silicate test kit that is at least semi-accurate?
I cannot beat this algae problem completely, and it's bugging the crap outa me. I don't mind a little, but it's just getting annoying. I cut it down significantly with the flow change I did after MACNA, but recently, I've...
