    How often do you top off?

    When I was running MH it was 64 Oz a day. Switching to PCs cut it to 64Oz every 3-4 days. Switching to T5s upped my top offs to 32Oz every day or so. 18g Nano open top btw. :P

    The live rock and stock sponge in the back chambers will trap detritus and can lead to increased nitrate levels. Using pillow stuffing from walmart is a good alternative to the sponge and is cost effective enough to throw out weekly.

    I would change the DI and filter cartridges with a TDS output of 5 because your membrane should still be good. .

    You might be able to wire it yourself, but iirc it would depend on your homes wiring. If not you could get a GFCI that plugs into your current outlet.

    I'm of the belief that if you use one, don't usse it all of the time. Only when you are about to get wet. Probe in tank, then plug into socket btw. The reason for that is twofold. First, most of us fiddle with the tank anyways daily, so any stray voltage that would cause the circuit to trip...

    Parameters: 0 Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates 7.8-8.1 pH Alk is low at 2.5ish meq/L Ca is above 400 Lost the clown today. I'm not sure why I've lost two fish in a week after having them for a little over a year.

    New pictures... sorry about the microbubbles. >:( The new skimmer's break-in period and all. No editing has been done to the pictures. I ordered my new lights so hopefully they'll be here by Friday. ;D Next thing on the agenda after maybe an extra light bulb or two will be to do up...
