I'm very central. Princeton area. Work off 8a on the turnpike.
Thanks. I'd like to try the macro fighting the micro thing, and I don't have a fuge AND I have a fallow tank to play with for a few months.
Hey guys,
I have a question for ya:
Is there any macro algae that would be easy to keep in my display tank, behind my reef wall, and wouldn't choke out everything in the tank?
Thanks,
damon
I thought I posted in this thread, but now I don't see it.
Anyway, I wish them luck. Between them and the new Big Al's opening in relative close proximity, I hope they both make it.
Can't wait to see the 5k gallon shark tank they're supposed to be setting up at Big Als.
I've never been to one of these shin digs before.
Anyone selling frags there too?
Seeing that my tank will remain fallow for a while, it might be time for some new zoos. ;)
Plus, it would be nice to meet some more of you fine folk. :)
Hey guys,
I have a heater question.
I'm on my second heater on my 55g. This one is starting to do exactly what the first one did.
I have the dial set to about 72 degrees. My tank was at 84 this morning and the heater was still on. I can thump it with my finger and it turns off, but then it...
Well they say phosphates should be zero.
And the ph looks a bit low, I think it's supposed to be 8.3ish
The nitrates are plenty low
Don't know about calcium.
Why not just test your water if your fish/corals are happy and compare the 2?
I think option 1 is everything hanging on the back of the tank and option 2 is an entirely seperate tank that he's putting on the side instead of underneath the tank like a lot of people do.
But the question still remains: Where can I get some live rock to stick in the tank that won't need to be qt'ed for 2 months? Is it even possible?
Thanks!
Actually, that is the plan, kind of.
I'm going to keep the 29g running though, and it might be the permanent home of these two clowns, and I'll just replenish some fishies in the 55g when it's ready.
I actually plan on running 2 tanks once all this is over. Same as before, just 2 sw tanks...
Carlos,
Most of my rock has my coral in it, and I'm keeping the big tank w/o fish for a while, so I think I'm just going to keep all that rock in there.
It's new rock I need to get, really...just don't want to wait a few months to put it in.
