    Fuge Lighting

That is my point. Chaeto grows under any light. However, I have 2, 54 watt bulbs. I believe it is too much light and it is feeding other algae.

I run lights in the fuge with chaeto, opposite to the DT light hours. I am using CF light on the fuge. This light came with the sump/fuge. Here...

I have the aquaticlife 72 inch. I am very happy with it so far. I also looked at the nova pro at the time, but there were some bad reviews on the sites for Nova pro so went with aquaticlife.

    Calcium and Alkalinity issues

I understand the balance reasoning. The issue is the supplement that I was adding. Mr. "hayabusa2003" nailed it. Holy smokes. The label clearly says that it raises calcium. However after reading the article hayabusa2003 posted, I must say what the ... This product is two part not just calcium...

    Calcium and Alkalinity issues

Here is what I used. https://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/200518/i/1/product.web It says "Each level measuring spoon (included) will raise the calcium level of 10 gallons by approximately 28 ppm. Maximum recommended dose is one level scoop per 10 gallons of water per day. " Does not mention...

    Calcium and Alkalinity issues

I never dosed calcium untill last week when I tested it to be at 360PPM. I have been dosing Concentrate KH buffer once a week for 2 months and the alkanity was always 12. The calcium supplment (Tropic Marine Pro) that I added in last 3 - 4 days raised alkanity to 15 and the calcium stays at...
