Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I often wondered this myself. I would think that with so many of us reefers out there we could come up with some ideas that really could have an impact on the worlds reefs. Propagation is a good start but we could do more. If we are willing to pay for $100 pieces of coral we should be able to...
none of those corals you listed use calcium in any quantity from the water. So you use of excess purple up with nothing drawing from that pool of calcium is why it got so high. It shouldn't hurt anything but I would check your ALK it probably is a bit low now.
The hidden reef was located on Roosevelt Blvd about 5 years ago. They had a fire and the store burnt down. It was in a row of stores back then. I think they've been on New Falls Rd for about 3 years now.
Its terrible to do that to any animal. If it were a dog or cat people would be all over this(Local news, radio ect.) Since its "only a fish" no one says a thing. I hear alot of talk on various boards about wrong doing in our hobby. However it seems there is no action taken. How many times have we...
I have three that stay together about 12" from the top of the tank. 400w MH above them. BTA's like to be fed. I believe this is also a key to success as much as the lighting. I have one in another tank that's growing just as well about 15" from 175w MH.
Try this site www.marinebreeder.org lots of great info there. Ive tryed three batches on copepods with no success past day 6. Best of luck. Congrats on your recent spawn. ;D
I would try starting them at about 1/4 the way up from the bottom of the tank for a week or two. Then half way up for a week or two. If the colors begin to come back then continue upwards. You want to give them a chance to slowly build their zooanthelae back up. If it gets worse then you know...
Ive seen mushrooms look that way after drifting under rock or to the back of the reef for long periods with out light. Have they been on your rack for an extended period? They usually recover with slow acclimation up to higher light areas. This could also be from to much light in which case the...
Hi. I haven't posted on here before however, I fix and repair electronics for a living. I'm located in Magnolia not to far from you. If you have the unit apart it will take but a few minutes to repair bad connections. I will only help with fish related repairs. Please not another broken TV. ;D
